SEO specialists should tailor their strategies for Microsoft’s Bing

Search Engine Optimisation specialists should start to optimize their websites with Microsoft’s Bing in mind due to the rising number of online users the new search engine is currently attracting.

Particular attention should be paid to the recently published list of search terms which have been popular on Bing over the last 12 months. Like most major search engines, Bing found that celebrities and gossip has dominated their results list over the course of the last year.

Both Tiger Woods and Sandra Bullock who have both hit the headlines over the last 12 months because of scandals within their personal life, found themselves in the top three of the most searched terms on Bing’s results list. Topping the poll as the number one most searched term over the last year was reality TV star Kim Kardashian who has also been in the news because of a high profile break up and also family problems.

Search engine optimisation specialists looking to attract more traffic to their sites would do well to bear this information in mind in order to draw as much traffic to their websites as possible.

Stories about newsworthy celebrities and those involved in any kind of scandal attract the greatest amount of attention from online users, so SEO marketers should tailor their strategies accordingly for maximum impact on Bing.
